I have to say Garden Blogger's Bloom Day for June, feels a lot like a Bloom Day for JULY!
Things are bursting into bloom all over the place here in Portland. I'm absolutely swamped with client work, an upcoming garden tour, and launching a website to promote my web app, eGardenGo (www.egardengo.com)! Something has to give — so I'll only be posting a small sampling of what's colorful here now, but I didn't want let the day go by without offering up at least a few blooms.
Clematis 'Alionushka' is a non-clinging clematis rambling through my Jelena witch hazel.
Loving the martagon lilies — above is Lilium x martagon 'Claude Shride' and below is Lilium x martagon 'Slate's Morning' paired with a dwarf Japanese maple called 'Shaina'.
Rosa x odorata ‘Mutabilis’ (China rose) is super easy-care rose; no muss, no fuss, no deadheading, no fussy pruning. It appears delicate but it's one tough plant and blooms for months on end.
